As a Financial Advisor, I am dedicated to guiding clients through their financial journeys and helping them plan for success with the goal of setting their children up for a prosperous future. My role involves research analysis, portfolio management, and financial planning, all while fostering strong client relationships. I hold Series 7, Series 66, and SIE registrations, helping equip me to explain complex financial concepts in simple, relatable terms.
Before joining Severn Wealth Management, I spent nine years as a history teacher and mentor, as well as the Head Lacrosse Coach at Archbishop Spalding High School. This experience taught me the value of understanding, compassion, and the ability to navigate challenges—skills I now bring to my financial advisory work.
Working alongside my dad, Wilson Phipps, has profoundly impacted my life. Watching him assist clients, friends, and family inspired me to pursue a career where I can do the same. Navigating my own life and starting a family highlighted the importance of financial planning, and I am committed to helping others prepare for what lies ahead.
Annapolis, MD, is where I call home. Growing up near the water, I spent countless hours boating and playing sports with friends. Lacrosse has been a significant part of my life; I played professionally for 14 years and at the University of Maryland with my brother Michael, who is now an assistant lacrosse coach at the University of Maryland. My wife, Caitlyn, is the head women's lacrosse coach at Georgetown University. Together with our daughters, Mackenzie and Chloe, we enjoy spending time on the boat, playing golf, and jumping in the pool.
Being part of a family and community that values teamwork and support is what drives me to help clients achieve their financial goals.
